The SAFE® SBS Rack Reader The SAFE® SBS Rack Reader from LVL technologies offers a fast and precise solution for scanning and decoding 2D tubes in SBS racks. This device is specifically designed to meet the high demands of modern laboratories and enables efficient sample processing.

The SAFE® SBS Rack Reader is characterized by its high speed and reliability, allowing laboratories to optimize their workflows and increase efficiency. With this innovative solution from LVL technologies, you can manage your samples safely and precisely.
- Scans SBS format sample racks: Decodes any 24, 48 or 96 format well racks without any configuration in less than a second!
- Scans single tubes: As well as racks, single tubes with 2D codes can also be scanned by placing the code anywhere on the reading window.
- Automatic Rack Detection: When a rack is placed on the scanner, the built-in rack sensors automatically recognize it. Decoding begins as soon as a rack is detected, requiring no further action from the user.
- Dynamic A1 Positioning: Built-in sensors detect the A1 position of the rack and adjust the A1 position accordingly.
- Intelligent Signal Lighting System: Fully configurable RGB LEDs indicate the scanning status of the current rack. For example, red can be used to indicate a missing tube.
- Keyboard Wedge Functionality: The device functions like a keyboard. Simply connect it to an application, and the characters associated with a code are sent directly there when scanned.
- Multiple Export Options: CSV, JSON, PDF, XLS, XMS & TCP/IP data export options available.
- No Mode Switching Required: Instantly switch between different racks and tubes without reconfiguration – the software adjusts to optimal reading parameters.
- Cryoguard Technology: Cryoguard protects the scanner against frost and condensation when used with cold labware.

The LVL Tube Laser Marker TLM 864:
Although the automation-friendly Data-Matrix code on the bottom of storage tubes has been standard for many years—and has greatly simplified sample handling—many users want to mark the tubes with their specific information. At the same time, they want to move away from time-consuming and unreliable labeling methods.
For this need, LVL has developed a fully automatic tube laser marker. The TLM 864 can automatically laser-mark SAFE® tubes in SBS 96, SBS 48, and SBS 24 formats from two sides and link the information in a database with the 2D code previously lasered during production. Up to 500 tubes per hour can be coded from nine SBS/ANSI positions.
