When the Festival of Genomics & Biodata was conceived, the organizers envisioned an exciting and inclusive event with the original goal of creating a ‘Woodstock for Genomics’. Their aim was to generate enthusiasm for genomics and raise awareness about its potential impact on patients.
As genomic technologies have continued to mature, the scope of the festival has expanded as well. It has now become a truly global event – a platform for world-leading speakers, ideas, companies, and networking opportunities, all while keeping the main goal in focus – benefiting patients.
The festival has three primary objectives: (1) Making attendance free for the majority of the audience, (2) Bringing together people from various sectors and disciplines to break down silos, and (3) Effecting meaningful change by providing attendees with strong content and engaging speakers.
