Carry Stop is designed as an additive to the system fluid of pipetting and analysis systems. It remains present and active in the system during the routine operation of the automated devices. Carry Stop contains only special non-ionic surfactants, unlike the detergents found in “universal cleaners.” This results in three crucial advantages for the safety of laboratory automation:

• Prevents Microorganism Growth: Prevents the growth of microorganisms while the automated device performs its routine tasks.
• Non-Interference with Enzymes and Substrates: Does not interfere with the functions of enzymes and substrates in immunological tests.
• Promotes Efficient Cleaning: Aids in the removal of adhesively bound sample material from the tubing/needle system during the flushing process after pipetting. Prevents Cross-Contamination: Ensures no carry-over effect to the next sample.
• Compatible Conductivity: Matches the conductivity of distilled water.
• Prevents False Detections: Avoids false detections by the pipette needle system, which can be caused by ionic detergents (no “air detection”).
