SAFE® DEFROST ROLLER - FAST AND EFFECTIVE THAWING OF YOUR SAMPLE TUBES
In everyday lab work, ice formation on the bottom of tubes is a common problem, especially during storage in the nitrogen gas phase. The SAFE® Defrost Roller from LVL technologies provides a fast and efficient solution to remove this ice, making the 2D codes on your sample tubes quickly and reliably readable. The system consists of three rollers: the first roller is filled with an ice-dissolving liquid such as isopropanol or ethanol, and the second and third rollers dry the tubes to facilitate handling and scanning of the samples. This approach optimizes control and significantly reduces the retrieval time of your samples. The Defrost Roller is compatible with all 2D SAFE® tube racks and offers a practical solution for thawing your sample tubes.
SAFE® ACCESS DEFROST ROLLER SBS
The defrost roller is the perfect accessory for this purpose. Three rollers revolutionize optimal application and usability.
The reservoir of the first roller is filled with an ice-dissolving liquid, preferably isopropanol or ethanol. Contact with this roller dissolves the ice, while the second and third rollers are used for drying. The third roller speeds up the drying process. This procedure facilitates sample control, scanning, and shortens retrieval time.
– Compatible with all 2D SAFE® tube racks
– Standardized SBS format
– For optimal application, we recommend cooling the ice-dissolving liquid before use

The LVL Tube Laser Marker TLM 864:
Although the automation-friendly Data-Matrix code on the bottom of storage tubes has been standard for many years—and has greatly simplified sample handling—many users want to mark the tubes with their specific information. At the same time, they want to move away from time-consuming and unreliable labeling methods.
For this need, LVL has developed a fully automatic tube laser marker. The TLM 864 can automatically laser-mark SAFE® tubes in SBS 96, SBS 48, and SBS 24 formats from two sides and link the information in a database with the 2D code previously lasered during production. Up to 500 tubes per hour can be coded from nine SBS/ANSI positions.
