The Europe Biobank Week Congress, jointly organised between BBMRI-ERIC and ESBB, is back for 2024 and the call for abstracts is open.

The Congress will take place from 14-17 May at The Hofburg in Vienna, Austria and brings together researchers, biobank staff, institutions and industry to attend high-quality scientific sessions that address the latest topics of concern. These sessions will be led by biobanking community experts from healthcare, academia, and industry.

Welcoming the return of EBW, Prof. Jens K. Habermann, BBMRI-ERIC Director General shares:

“The re-start of the EBW congress is the perfect opportunity to engage with the wider biobank community, share and showcase latest developments and innovations. Finally, yet importantly, we are looking forward to networking and celebrating BBMRI-ERIC’s 10th anniversary.”

The Congress theme is: “Strengthening Biobanks and Biorepositories: Collaborative approaches for a sustainable future” with sessions showcasing the latest developments and best practices in the biobanking field. Annelies Debucquoy, National Node Director of BBMRI.be and member of the Scientific Programme Committee, says:
